Manuel Diaz is an agricultural engineer with the USDA-NRCS in Amherst, Massachusetts. He has worked for the agency for 15 years mostly involved on projects related to irrigation and soil and water management in the states of Washington, Utah, Idaho, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico and Massachusetts. Manuel’s academic background is closely related to soil-water relationship, having a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialty in soil and water management from the University of Idaho, a master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, and postgraduate studies in Irrigation Engineering from the Utah State University.
